LifeShare Network Saves 645 Lives in Record-Breaking 2024
Eleventh Consecutive Year of Milestones
Oklahoma City, OK (January 8, 2025) - LifeShare Network proudly announces its eleventh consecutive year of reaching new milestones in the number of organ and tissue donors recovered, the number of organs transplanted, and the total number of lives saved.
In 2024, LifeShare facilitated the gift of 746 lifesaving transplants, a 14.9% increase from 2023, providing 645 individuals with the gift of life. Tissue donations, including musculoskeletal, skin, eye and birth tissue were recovered from 1,027 donors - an 8.2% increase from 949 in 2023 - bettering numerous lives through life-enhancing procedures.
LifeShare’s mission to save lives and inspire hope would not have been possible without the compassionate and selfless decisions of 273 donor heroes and their families in 2024.

In a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC, LifeShare staff shared their feedback on benefits, leadership, opportunities for connection, transparency and values.
The Top Workplaces program has a 17-year history of surveying and celebrating people-first organizations nationally and across 60 regional markets. In addition to the Top Workplace honor, LifeShare was recognized for Culture Excellence.

LifeShare Saves Record-Breaking Number of Lives in September
LifeShare Network continues to achieve record breaking results through the month of September. Across Oklahoma, LifeShare Network’s clinical and administrative staff worked together to successfully recover a record 85 organs for transplant in one month, enhancing lives across our communities. Thanks to the compassionate decision of donor heroes, those waiting were able to receive the gift of life.

LifeShare Experiences Record-Breaking First Half of 2024
In the first six months of 2024, LifeShare Network recovered a record-breaking 152 organ donors and 489 tissue donors, surpassing the previous year’s numbers by 27% and 2.5%, respectively.
From January to June, 311 lives were saved across Oklahoma. Donor heroes gave the ultimate gift of life, offering hope to those still waiting on the transplant list and their families.
“As always, we owe our gratitude to donors and their families, alongside the steadfast commitment of LifeShare’s staff, hospital and transplant partners,” said Jeff Orlowski, President and CEO of LifeShare Network. “LifeShare is on pace for its eleventh record year of coordinating donation. Our efforts are focused on increasing the availability of organs and tissue for transplant.”
In the first six months of 2024, LifeShare Network recovered a record-breaking 152 organ donors and 489 tissue donors, surpassing the previous year’s numbers by 27% and 2.5%, respectively.

LifeShare Network Names New Director of Employee Experience
Sarah Fite, of Oklahoma City, was recently announced as the Director of Employee Experience at LifeShare Network.
In this role, Fite is responsible for leadership of all Employee Experience Functions, including recruitment and hiring, compensation, employee relations and organizational development. Additionally, she will lead organizational development efforts to include new hire orientation and organizational continuing education.

LifeShare Network announced Ron Squires, M.D. has been named Chief Medical Officer effective April 1.
In this role, Squires is responsible for the development, implementation and revision of the medical processes, procedures, policies and education that maximize organ and tissue recovery for human transplantation and research do advance organ donation and transplantation.

LifeShare Oklahoma, the federally-designated nonprofit organization responsible for the recovery of donated organs and tissue in the state, proudly announced that 535 lives were saved in 2022 – the most ever in a single year in Oklahoma.
Throughout 2022, LifeShare coordinated the recovery of 602 lifesaving organs from 249 organ donor heroes and 1,106 tissue donors. These precious gifts allowed LifeShare to provide 535 grateful organ transplant recipients a second chance at life and provide mobility and life enhancement to more than 82,000 individuals through tissue donation.
Additionally, more than 181 women donated birth tissue this year, which is new territory for the organization.
